American Humane Rescue is ready to deploy at a moment?s notice to save animal lives in times of crisis. For example, American Humane Rescue responders worked tirelessly to aid animals in need after devastation caused by the Hurricane Florence and Michael, California?s wildfires, and so many more disasters.
American Humane Lois Pope Life Center for Military Affairs offers meaningful support to our nation?s armed forces with two key areas of focus: training and providing lifesaving service dogs, many of whom were former shelter animals, to veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injuries; and protecting America?s hard-working military dogs and recognizing their heroic contributions to our country.
American Humane Hollywood oversees the humane treatment of 80,000 animal actors on more than 1,000 film and television productions each year. American Humane works with production personnel and trainers in the pre-production planning stage, monitors animals on set during production, and enforces American Humane's Guidelines for the Safe Use of Animals in Filmed Media.
American Humane Conservation is a certification program devoted solely to helping ensure the well-being and humane treatment of more than 315,000 animals living in zoos, aquariums, and conservation centers worldwide. The program enforces comprehensive, evidence-based standards of animal welfare developed by world-renowned leaders in the field.
American Humane Farm was created as a farm animal welfare certification program to help ensure the humane treatment of farm animals. The program?s independent, third-party audits cover more than 8,000 farms and ranches throughout the United States and Canada.
