HHCM does not meet this Standard because:
- Two members out of the seven member board of directors (29%), including the board chair, are compensated. One board member is compensated as a staff member, and the board chair is indirectly compensated as the spouse of a staff member.

Child Sponsorship
HHCM reports that for $36 per month, the following is provided for a child in Haiti: tuition, including entrance fees, exam fees and monthly tuition at a Haitian Christian school; books and school supplies; a school uniform; health care, including an annual medical exam and paid access to a medical clinic throughout the year; special gifts; and transportation to and from select schools. The sponsor receives the following: an annual update on the sponsored child and a recent photo; a translated letter from the sponsored child; HHCM e-news and printed newsletters which contain news, prayer needs, stories and photos of the work in Haiti; and the option of writing to a sponsored child.

Stated Purpose
"to demonstrate Christian compassion to poverty-bound Haitian children and their families, providing opportunities for these children to become leaders in their homes, churches, and communities."
Hope for Haiti's Children Ministries (HHCM) reports that it provides an education sponsorship program, health care services, orphan care, and crisis relief efforts to children in need. HHCM oversees two Christian orphanages where 60 children are nurtured and cared for by house parents. In addition, each child receives a Christian education by attending an HHCM-sponsored school. The organization states that its school lunch program provides over 2,000 students with hot, nutritious meals every week of school. HHCM offers vocational training through post-secondary and entrepreneurship programs which aim to prepare individuals to enter the workforce.
