Child Sponsorship
A Chagce in LIfe reports that gifts to its child sponsorship program are combined with gifts from other sponsors to serve as many young people as possible. The program requires a $30 gift that goes towards at-risk youth. The sponsorship helps to provide housing, clothes and supplies, and to ensure caregivgers have the resources to provide for the children. Sponsors will be able to read their child's story and learn about their lives as well as send messages and photes of their own lives. Sponsors will also receive semi-annual updates and special recognition in the annual report. The organizatioin sponsors children in Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, India, Italy, Ethiopia and Uganda.
A Chance In Life provides funding for local organizations working with children around the world. The organization reports that its grants help children and youth through the provision of quality education, gender equity and capacity building, offers ?a chance in life? and promotes their full potential. The organization selects partners who align with their values and mission. A Chance at Life's partners are local organizations providing support to at-risk children and youth in Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, India, Italy, Ethiopia and Uganda. The organization's grants empower at-risk children and youth through education, access to nutrition, shelter and healthcare. In 2020, the organization reports that its grants supported 3,419 children (1,768 boys and 1,651 girls). A Chance In Life also launched a response during the Covid-19 pandemic to support the children and their families, and states that it provided food to over 10,000 children and their family members over the course of four months.
