Step Up For Students (SUFS) reports that it aims to fulfill public education's promise of equal opportunity through the provision of scholarships for Florida schoolchildren. The organization's scholarships include the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship program, Family Empowerment Scholarship, Gardiner Scholarship, Hope Scholarship, and Reading Scholarship Accounts. The scholarships serve lower-income families, children with special needs, public school students who are bullied or victimized, and public school students in third through fifth grade who struggle with reading.
