Wildlands Conservancy meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Wildlands Conservancy reports that it holds land trusts that service the residents of the 10-county Lehigh River watershed (primarily the Lehigh Valley and Pocono regions) through its conservation and education programs. The conservation easements serve to protect land, promote environmental stewardship, and offer hands-on education programs. Once protected, Wildlands Conservancy states that, in partnership with other entities, the organization transfers the land to a landowner for permanent protection, such as a state park or local municipal trail network. The organization works with local landowners to improve water quality through dam removal, stream restoration, and wildlife habitat restoration projects. Wildlands Conservancy's education program works with schools, community groups, and the general public to be a steward of the environment. In 2020, the organization reports that it held easements on 74 properties, totaling more than 7,703 acres. In addition, Wildlands Conservancy states that it began a multi-year, 140-acre barrens habitat restoration at a maple tract preserve and connected almost 17,000 individuals with local, natural areas through its more than 360 community education programs.
