Autism Society of Minnesota (AuSM) seeks to enhance the lives of individuals and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder through advocacy, education, support, collaboration, and community building. AuSM advocates for legislation and policies that lead to improved services, increased opportunities, and greater self-determination for people with autism. The organization educates and informs individuals, families, professionals, and the broader community about autism and effective strategies for support and inclusion. AuSM also support individuals and families through programs, counseling services, and resource information, and collaborates with organizations and individuals that share their commitment to enhancing the lives of those affected by autism. The organization also works to build community and provide a welcoming and accessible environment for autistic people to connect and form their own social bonds. As reported by the charity, services include membership, workshops, conferences, summer camps, interest-based social skills classes, counseling, support groups, and sensory-friendly events.
