Gift of Life International meets the 20 Standards for Charity Accountability.
Gift of Life International (GOLI) focuses on providing care to children with heart disease in the developing world. Missions to other countries have been established in order to help foreign facilities acquire the knowledge to perform their own surgeries, which is less costly than bringing children to the United States. In addition to medical services, GOLI provides the following assistance to patients and families: round-trip airfare for the child and one parent or guardian; clothes and incidentals for the child and guardian for their stay; payment of stipends to the hospitals that provide the surgeries, ranging from $4,500 to $10,000 per child; educational courses; and nutritious food assistance for the child and family. The organization reports that it works with 84 affiliated programs to deliver care to children in 80 countries on five continents.
