World Food Program USA (WFPUSA) reports that it assists the United Nations World Food Programme (UNWFP) provide food to the world's poorest countries by mobilizing individuals, businesses, and policymakers in the United States to end global hunger. The organization performs communication and outreach to expand government and private sector support within the United States and educates members of congress, other officials, and leaders within the private sector about international hunger issues and policies to implement to increase access to food and improve global health. In 2019, the organization states that it distributed more than ten million dollars in grants to UNWFP for school feeding efforts, hunger programs, and education and advocacy programs that assisted more than 17 million individuals.
